The true, genuine curio is the root of a Swamp flower native to Southern Louisiana. Jezebel Root is found in wetlands areas such as, ditches, swamps, slow moving rivers and streams. It DOES NOT grow anywhere close to wood or bark. It should NOT be sold as “chips” or “pieces” as the whole root is traditionally used in hoodoo conjure.

About the Jezebel Root

In Southern magical folklore, Jezebel is envisioned as a powerful African queen, capable of commanding respect and obedience from men, as well as from other women. This root is known to be a Woman’s root, used to attract wealthy men, generosity, used in love spells, get more tips, achieve raises, wealthy suitors, as a female protection herb for safety to protect the “ladies of the night” from harm while walking the streets and when necessary, cursing the woman who won’t stop being a bitch that is used in the Curse of Jezebel.
