Riegersburg Castle dirt. This unconquerable monumental fortress towers atop a volcanic rock. The oldest castle complex was built here around 1100 A.D.  & is protected by defense walls extending more than 3 kilometers, 11 bastions, 2 moats, and 7 gate houses leading up to the castle, surrounding the 15 hectares on the large rocky plateau, rendering the citadel impregnable. It never fell to any invading force.  I have taken dirt from the innermost courtyard.  Make your work "unconquerable". 


Riegersburg castle. Let's talk about this amazing castle I just returned from with lots of dirt, stones, and brick bits!  The castle was built on top of an ancient extinct volcano 1476 ft up on the peak that was left millions of yrs ago, which in itself is very impressive. But there is so much more about this castle! It was never taken in all of it's 900 yr history. It has 7 successive gates to stop any invading force & also has 2 moats within these 7 gates. It's often mislabeled as having 5 gates, but there are 7.

 The history of the castle begins in the year 1122. When the Knight Rudiger von Hohenberg built a small Keep there. The most important owner however, was the Baroness Katharina Elisabeth von Wechsler. Between 1637 and 1653 she finished the castle, making it one of the biggest and strongest castles in the country. Due to this intense fortification it was never taken by the Turks nor Hungarians who tried many times over it's history. Often up to a thousand people from the village would be protected within its interior walls while sieges raged outside. She was known in the Styrian region as a strong willed woman who would go to extraordinary lengths to protect both her legacy & her castle.

She also became embroiled in the Styrian witch trials when one of the women in her service was accused of witchcraft, tortured, tried & executed for the "crime" in 1672.


This dirt makes an excellent addition to any type of self or home protection works. People have been asking for it since I sold out of it 2 yrs ago because of its power. I  was able to get small stones which I think will make excellent additions to protection works or even amulets. I also found lots of brick bits & shards which I will grind for brickdust


 It can be used in spellwork, protection bags, brick dust mixes, candle work, lamp work, wall of protection works, etc

 The dirt is packaged in HALF ounce bags which is enough for several works.
